Giving hope to a needy child
The Child´s Happiness Organization (THE CHAPP) is a community based charitable and non-profit making organization with its base in Naivasha, Kenya. In 1986 it was founded by Agneta Bwire, citizen of Naivasha, who experienced the poverty of the children and felt the strong desire to help. Starting with limited resources, THE CHAPP has developed over the years and is now officially registered with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development of the Republic of Kenya as a Self-Help Project.

The organization´s motto is "Giving hope to a needy child"
and the project´s objectives are as follows:
Showing children from socially weak families a way out of poverty and misery through access to education
Providing children with the opportunity to learn and play in a protected area
Looking after orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) to protect them from abuse and give them self-confidence
Working closely with the families to make sure that the parents encourage and support their children to go to school
Providing direct economic support for families if required (e.g. by giving food)
